Miss Matthews received her B.S. in Early Childhood Education from South Carolina State University and her Master's of Education from South Carolina State University. She did further studies in Developmental Disabilities at Winthrop University. Miss Matthews has a Master's of Science in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University. She is National Board Certified in Early Childhood Generalist. She began teaching in 1984, and joined the Savannah Grove family in 2005. Miss Matthews believes all children can learn and she enjoys teaching them. It takes a village to raise a child and a school to raise a village.
