Welcome to 6th grade math.  My teaching philosophy is that we should be lifelong learners, and I will foster a love of learning with our students. 

     I am married and have two adult children Victor and Hailey.  My husband, Thomas, and I grew up in this area and returned here after his retirement in 2012.  We had the wonderful opportunity to live in South Korea, Egypt, California, Kansas, Alabama, Georgia and both Carolinas. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, finding new adventures, reading books, and baking.

     This is my 17th year of teaching and my 10th year teaching math in our district.  I earned a baccalaureate degree in Elementary Education from Francis Marion University in 1992 and a master's degree in Children’s Literacy Development in 2011.  I have taught in international schools, Department of Defense, and North and South Carolina. I’ve taught kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade.  I love teaching and enjoy seeing students learn and develop problem solving skills.
