Welcome to first  grade. Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher. I taught my dolls and  children in my neighborhood when I was little.  I started teaching preschool Sunday School class when I was a teenager. Even though I wanted to be a teacher, I didn’t go to college until after my three children were in school. I wanted to be their first teacher. I received my degree in 1994. My first job was teaching second grade at Manning Primary School in Manning, South Carolina. I have been teaching ever since. I have taught in public and private schools in South Carolina, Alabama and New Mexico.  I have been at Greenwood Elementary School since 2012. While at Greenwood, I taught kindergarten, first and second grade. 

I have a BA in Early Childhood Education from USC-Sumter and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University.  

Some fun facts about me:

I have been a military dependent all my life.  

 I have lived in the following places: Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Japan, California, Maine, Iran, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, South Carolina, and Alabama.

I have three grown children, three grandchildren and three cats.  

I love to knit things for family and friends.

I love going to the movies with friends.

I love coffee, Reeses' Peanut Buttercups and York Peppermint Patties
