Welcome to my 4th & 5th grade Montessori classroom.  My name is Saran Jones and I started this new journey of Montessori here at McLaurin Elementary three years ago and I am enjoying this school of staff and students and this hands-on approach to learning! 

I have 23 years of teaching experience.  I continue to be excited to grow with my students as I strive to push them towards their personal best.  My teaching philosophy is “Those who love teaching, help others love learning” and a passionate and loving approach to teaching is what I tackle each day with.  I am happy and excited to do what I believe I am called to do and that is teach, so everyday that I get to teach is a great day! 

I am super grateful to share another year of learning and growing with my 4th & 5th grade students and the great parents that complete our family.

Hello!! I am looking forward to working with your child in our class!  I have enjoyed teaching German for 11 years and being an assistant teacher for 20 years.  I have taken Montessori training classes.  I love integrating birds and nature within science lessons.  I'm looking forward to a great year together!
