Hello!

My name is Melanie Gibson and I am so excited to have your child in my classroom this year. We get to discover and explore our way through Kindergarten together! 

I am a mother of 3 children and a grandmother of three. I am actively involved in their lives and in church. What time I have free, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and small DIY projects. I love chocolate, Sharpie/Flair pens, reading, going to the beach, camping, Pinterest, and Chili's. 

I have taught in both private and public schools. I got my BS in Elementary Education degree from Francis Marion University and I am considered "highly qualified". I have been teaching for about 20 years. I have taught first and second grade as well as assisted in a Special Ed and Kindergarten classroom.  I look forward to working with your child this year as they grow and bloom in their learning. Let the leaning adventure begin!
