Degrees and Certifications:
Master's of Education in Learning Disabilities
Ms. L. Dillard
I graduated from high school in Macon, Georgia 4th in my class. I chose to attend Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where I graduated with a BBA-Bachelor’s of Business Administration-degree. I worked for a year and a half in the accounting department of a manufacturing company in Atlanta. Following that, I worked as a bookkeeper at a law office in Athens, Georgia. I went to graduate school at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia and earned my Masters of Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities. When I moved to Florence, I had two job offers-one at West Florence High School and one at Williams Middle School. I chose the one at Williams and have been here for twenty years, as of June 2017.
I enjoy what I do. I love teaching students with a desire to learn. I have been privileged to do what I love for a good while now. I will continue to do my best to help the students whom I have been given.
