Students must be registered by July 16, 2023 at 11:59 pm to receive bus transportation on the first day of school.
Any students who register between July 17 - July 30th will receive transportation no later than August 11th.
Students who register on July 31st or later will receive transportation no later than August 25th.

- Call Mrs. Ford (843-758-6869) at the Office of School Readiness to get your child on the list and to request the code to complete the online form.
- The code will only be given once Mrs. Ford has received your child's birth certificate and Income Verification.
- Once you have the required code, select the form link below.

- Child must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2023
- Live within the Florence 1 Schools attendance zone
- Valid SC Medicaid card or 2021 income taxes (this is an income-based program)
- Proof of Residency (matching address on a driver's license/state issued ID, utility bill, vehicle registration or rental agreement)

A "Returning Student" is any student who was actively enrolled in Florence 1 at the end of the 2022-23 School Year in Grades K-12
UPDATE: Returning families who have not started the registration process prior to June 21st will be receiving an email with their students’ snapcodes. Registration will be completed using the snapcode and the link provided in the email.
Instructions
- Using a web browser (not the PowerSchool app), click on the blue PowerSchool Parent Portal linked below. Enter your username and password.
- If you have forgotten your username or password, select Forgot Username or Password? You will be prompted to enter your username and email address.
- If you do not remember your username, select the Forgot Username? tab and enter your email address. You will receive an email to reset your information.
- If you do not receive an email, please use the provided list to email your child's school contact for assistance.
- Once logged in, you will see all of your returning students' names at the top of the screen. Click on the child that you need to register.
- Select the 23-24 Returning Student Registration icon under the Navigation tab on the left side. The form will open in a new window.
- If you have more than one student, once you complete and submit the first registration form, exit out of PowerSchool. Log back in and select the next child you need to register.
- To register at the correct school, parents/guardians will use the F1S School Locator inside the online registration form.

FAQ
Is there a deadline to register students?
Students must be registered by July 16, 2023 at 11:59 pm to receive bus transportation on the first day of school. What if I need help completing registration for my child?
In-person registration will be available for anyone who needs help completing the registration process. Access dates here.
Do I have to submit my Proof of Residency documents online?
Yes, all documents must be submitted online. The registration process is not considered complete until all proof of residency documents are provided. Documents can easily be uploaded by taking a picture of them with your phone. Please note that registration cannot be edited once it is submitted. Proof of Residency information can be found here.
What if I will not sign my lease until July?
Contact the Office of Attendance and Zoning at 843-673-1164.
How do I know which school my child/children will attend?
Zoned schools for elementary and high school students are based on the home address unless approved for select programs. To access the School Zone Lookup, visit the Zoning Information page at f1s.org/registration. For middle school students, reference the Middle School Transition Chart.
What if I do not wish to follow the Middle School Transition or want to change my child's school?
Transfer request forms are available at the Office of Attendance and Zoning (see contact information below). When submitting a request the parent will need to write a letter explaining in detail the reason for the transfer request and provide two proofs of residency along with a driver’s license/ID. The request will be reviewed for a decision of approval.

When is the first day of school?

Do I need to do a registration form for each child attending Florence 1 Schools?
Yes, you will need to provide information that is specific to each child.
What if I make a mistake on the registration form?
If you are on the Summary page, click on the page name you want to return to. If you already submitted the form with an error or inaccurate information, please contact your student’s school.
What should I do if I do not have an email address?
In order to receive accurate communication, we advise you to open an email account.
What should I do if I want my child’s bus pickup/drop off location to be different from the home address?
Contact the Transportation Department.
Where do I complete the Free & Reduced Lunch application?
The Free and Reduced Lunch Application will open on July 1, 2023 at https://www.lunchapplication.com/
Where can I find supply lists?
Supply lists will be posted on each school's website at the end of the summer.

TRADITIONAL IN-PERSON REGISTRATION
**Families should register at the school their students will attend. Families with students in multiple grades may register all students on the same day at a single site. Schools will not accept paper documents.
