After School Programs
Welcome to Florence 1 Schools Extended Day Academy Program. We are anxious about the relationships we will build with our students, parents and the community, as these relationships will positively impact our students and yield greater results for our program. We have the power to encourage, motivate, change lives and change history. We feel that this program is an instrumental tool that will provide guidance, compassion and promote academic enhancement.
The mission of the Extended Day Academy is to offer many diverse opportunities for your child to learn skills in mathematics, art, writing, music, technology, sports, and much more! The Extended Day Academy provides a structured place to receive homework assistance, one-on-one tutoring, a snack, as well as supper.
Important note: After School Programs are not offered at every school within Florence 1.

Extended Day Information 2025-2026 School Year
Date: February 3, 2025
To: Extended Day Parents
For the 2025-2026 school year, parents/guardians will be able to indicate an interest in their student participating in Extended Day Academy (EDA) during the online registration process. This action does not guarantee a spot in the Extended Day program.
Returning Extended Day Families:
Returning Extended Day families must complete online registration between March 10th and 14th, including uploading all required documents into the Enrollment Portal, indicating interest in the Enrollment Portal and paying the 25-26 EDA Deposit through the Rycor online payment system, to maintain their spot in the program.
New Extended Day Families:
On March 17th at 8 am, all new families who have fully completed registration through the Enrollment Portal will receive an email from F1SRegistration@fsd1.org to pay the 25-26 EDA Deposit. Once all available spots at a school are full, Rycor will no longer accept payments and the online registration portal will no longer have an Extended Day option for that site.
Families Using ABC Vouchers:
Families using ABC vouchers should complete online registration through the online portal and then visit the Extended Day Office March 10th-13th, 8am-1pm or 3-7pm, to finish all paperwork needed to secure their spot in the program.
Incomplete Registration:
If families pay the 25-26 EDA Deposit but their registration is found to be incomplete because all required documents are not uploaded, the deposit will be refunded and their child’s spot in the program will not be held.

- If I am withdrawing my child from the program, it is my responsibility to provide one (1) week’s notice, complete a withdrawal form and return it to the Extended Day office via email or I may drop it off at 500 S Dargan St, Suite 100. The form is found on the F1Schools Extended Day webpage (Departments, After School Programs, Afterschool Program forms, Withdrawal Form).

For the fee to be waived, my child must be absent 5 consecutive days and I must submit a doctor’s excuse stating the dates and reason for the absence.
- The Extended Day Academy utilizes a checkout system to ensure that each child is dismissed to the proper person at the end of the day. Children will not be allowed to leave the program unattended. There needs to be a written notice from the parent/guardian with signature on file if a child is to be picked up by someone between the age of 17 and 18.
- If my check is returned, I will be notified by the F1Schools’ finance department. The Extended Day Academy will no longer accept my checks.
