Pamela Little-McDaniel, Director of Public Information
Pamela Little-McDaniel received a Bachelor of Arts in English Education from South Carolina State College in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from SC State, now South Carolina State University. After she graduated from college, she became a teacher of English and French at Richmond Senior High School in Rockingham, North Carolina. She later studied at the University of Florida in Gainesville, receiving a Master of Arts in Journalism and Communications with a specialization in Public Relations. Upon graduating from the University of Florida, she returned to South Carolina and worked as an English teacher in Chesterfield County. She was later hired as the Director of Public Relations for the School District of Williamsburg County. After four years in Williamsburg County, she was named Director of Public Relations in Darlington County. When the Public Relations position became available in Florence, she was hired in 1990.
She is a member of the Florence Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated, a public service organization.

Melissa Rollins, Communications Specialist
Melissa Rollins earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Convergence Journalism from Francis Marion University. She was employed as a reporter for the Florence Morning News covering various content areas including religion, health, local government and education. In 2016, she was hired by the News and Press in Darlington as editor. During her time there she won First Place for Education Beat Reporting from the South Carolina Press Association and the News and Press won First Place for General Excellence. Rollins joined the staff of Florence 1 Schools as Communications Specialist in Sept. 2018.
