Guidance and Couseling is an integral part of our school's educational program. The program is designed to address the needs of all the students by helping them to identify their strengths, to learn how to solve their own problems,to adjust to their present environnment, to learn how to solve their own problems,and to plan realistically for their future in order to reach their highest potential.
Through classroom visits, small group activities and individual counseling, the Guidance Counselor can help students improve their self concept and peer relationships. Topics include study skills, decision making, conflict resolution, test taking skills and career awareness.
Parents, teachers, administrators may refer students to the counselor for poor grades, encouragement, sudden change in mood or behavior, poor peer relationships, or behavioral problems.
