    The Center of Excellence to Prepare Teachers of Children of Poverty has a library of Live and On-Demand Webinars and PD opportunities available

    SC Codes offers free courses in programming for beginners and advanced developers.

    SCETV offers an array of Professional Development Opportunities For Pre-K Educators. Online courses are available from ETV for re-certification. These courses are $75/course with 20 renewal credits (no grad credit).

National Board Certification Support

    National Board Certification was designed to develop, retain and recognize accomplished teachers and to generate ongoing improvement in schools nationwide.
    Shelly Flud, a teacher at J.W. Moore Middle, obtained her National Board Certification in 2007 and achieved National Board Recertification in 2016. She is available to provide assistance. Email her at slflud@fsd1.org
  • South Carolina State Department of Education

    The National Institute for Excellence in Teaching (NIET) continues to partner with the South  Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) in offering virtual professional learning for teachers and administrators. Beginning in March, sessions will be provided that focus on effective teaching practices in blended and hybrid environments. 

    This training consists of two sessions where educators will examine instructional structures and strategies that support individual student needs and individualized learning. For details click here.
