Book Adventure - Read books and take a practice test on them. This is NOT the same as the school's Reading Renaissance Accelerated Reader program and it will not count at school. A good way to know if a student has understood the book.
Chateau Meddybemps - Learning activities and stories for children grades PK-3.
DISCUS - Search through a large variety of educational sites that are sorted by age, grade level, or research category topic with many including vidoes and interactive learning opportunities. Some sites may require users to login outside of the school setting. Please contact the school's media specialist for assistance.
DK Find Out! - Includes videos, fun facts, quizzes, and research opportunities for students through use of keywords and topics.
Earth Cam for Kids - Explore parks, aquariums, zoos, space, weather, cities, and much more through live cameras set up all over the world. These images may be updated anywhere from every day to every 30 seconds.
Enchanted Learning - Designed for younger students, this site links to many fun and educational activities such as nursery rhymes, crafts, a dictionary, maps, oceans, dinosaurs, themes, animal printouts and much more.
Fact Monster - Provides information on a variety of topics with fun dated historical facts that can be lots of homework help.
F1S Destiny - District accessed site for library material look up to locate and manage school library resources.
International Children's Digital Library - Access to the best of children's world literature, promoting tolerance and respect for diverse cultures.
Kids Planet - Explore wildlife of the world through facts, stories and games. Also includes essay contests about animals and what can be done to save different species of animals. Fun and educational!
Kids' Reference Desk - Links to a number of reference sites for student searching.
MyON by Renaissance - Accessible by students with the use of their AR username and password giving the right to view over 6,000 online books on a variety of topics.
National Geographic Animals for Kids - Basic information for students about a variety of animals. Includes photos and videos.
StudySC - Contains biographies, historical information, and state symbols all associated with the state of South Carolina.
