Dear Friends and Family Members of the Class of 2019:
We are looking forward to commemorating and celebrating the success of our graduating seniors this week at the Florence Center.
The schedule for graduations is as follows:
South Florence High School - Wednesday June 5 at 7:00 p.m.
West Florence High School - Thursday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m.
Wilson High School: - Friday, June 7 at 7:00 p.m.
- Because of seating limitations set by the Florence Center, graduates have been issued tickets for friends and family members.
- Families and friends of graduates should plan to arrive at the Florence Center early in order to find parking on-site. We recommend arriving onsite at least an hour early. As always, please be observant and follow all directions given by signs and law enforcement upon entering and exiting the Florence Center parking area.
- Participants and spectators will go through metal detection screening upon entering the Center. This may slow down entrance, again making it important to arrive early to the site. Because the Center grounds are being used for a school function on the dates of graduation, state laws regarding bringing weapons on to school campuses will be in effect at the Florence Center for June 5, June 6 and June 7. No one will be allowed to bring any type of weapon onto the premises. Even people with concealed weapons permits (CWP) are not allowed to carry a weapon onto the Florence Center grounds on the day of Florence 1 Schools graduations. Weapons may include, but not be limited, to such things as guns, pocketknives, brass knuckles, pepper spray, etc. Flowers and balloons are also not permitted in the arena.
- Guests should use the East and West Parking Lot Guest Parking areas. The South Parking Lot is reserved for graduates. (See Florence Center map.)
Graduation itself is orchestrated to be a formal ceremony, celebrating the academic accomplishments of all graduates with dignity and respect. We appreciate your role in helping us make sure all of our graduates’ friends and family members are made aware of this information so that we can all celebrate each graduate, carrying away only good memories from these ceremonies.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
