I have been teaching in South Carolina for 17years. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students in Darlington, Sumter and Lee Counties. I am currently the Read to Succeed Literacy Coach at North Vista Elementary School.

I attended Francis Marion University where I recieved degrees in English and Elementary Education. I also have Master of Science Degrees in Elementary Literacy and Administration and Leadership from Walden University. I am endorsed to teach Gifted and Talented and have also received endoresements as a Reading Teacher and Reading Coach.

My joy comes from seeing students grow as learners and helping parents in supporting their learning.

I am an avid reader and love books by James Patterson, Jacqueline Woodson and Andrea Davis Pinckney. Always remember, “Reading gives us some place to go when we have to stay where we are,” Mason Cooley.
