    Elementary School Visual Arts
Visual arts education in Florence 1 Schools begins in kindergarten. Students in kindergarten through sixth grade attend art classes taught by certified visual arts teachers. Elementary art engages students in hands-on creation, exposure, and response to visual art and artistic expression. Elementary students and teachers share their art throughout the district and community.

    Middle School Visual Arts
Students in middle school visual arts classes focus on large scale visual art concepts and begin to fully develop the fine motor skills needed to produce extraordinary work. Middle school students and teachers share their art throughout the district and community. Courses are increasingly varied and include sculpture, videography, digital photography, and graphic design.
