Frequently Asked Registration Questions
Why should I register using the PowerSchool Portal instead of the Snapcode?
This year we are encouraging parents to use the PowerSchool Portal to register students. Using the PowerSchool Portal will allow parents to access grades, attendance, missing assignments, complete surveys, etc. throughout the school year.
Is there a deadline to register students?
To receive bus transportation on the first day of school, students must be registered by July 17, 2022. Any students who register between July 17 and July 31st will receive transportation no later than August 15th. Students who register August 1st or later will receive transportation no later than August 23rd.
When is the first day of school?
The first day of school is August 1, 2022. Access the district calendar on the F1S webpage.
Do I have to submit my Proof of Residency documents online?
No, Proof of Residency can be presented during our onsite registration days, July 18-2022. However, to ensure transportation cut-offs, documents can be emailed to the school. If you upload all of the proper Proof of Residency documents online, you will not be required to present them again. Proof of Residency information can be found at f1s.org/registration.
Do I need to do a registration form for each child attending Florence 1 Schools?
Yes, you will need to provide information that is specific for each child.
What if I make a mistake on the registration form?
If you are on the Summary page, click on the page name you want to return to. If you already submitted the form with an error or inaccurate information, please contact your student’s school.
How do I know which school my child/children will attend?
Zoned schools for elementary and high school students are based on the home address unless approved for select programs. To access the School Zone Lookup, visit the Proof of Residency page at f1s.org/registration. For middle school students, reference the Middle School Transition Chart.
What should I do if I do not have an email address?
In order to receive accurate communication, we advise you to open an email account.
What should I do if I want my child’s bus pickup/drop off location to be different from the home address?
Contact the Transportation Department.
Where can I find supply lists?
Supply lists will be posted on each school's website at the end of the summer.
