Briggs Elementary School staff is prohibited from providing or administering any medication, including aspirin, to any student. Medication that is prescribed three times a day can be given at home before school, after school, and at bedtime and does not need to be brought to school. If medication MUST be given at school, it must be personally delivered by the parent and accompanied by a written authorization from a doctor that includes the name of the medication and the instructions for its administration (time and dosage). The medication must be in the original prescription bottle with the original label. Forms for this purpose are available in the health room.
